Help Save The Whales Get 10% More on Your Donation

The AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am has an exciting fundraising program called Birdies for Charity that benefits Save The Whales. From November 1, 2009 to February 26, 2010, you can:

• Make a flat donation,
• Pledge per birdie,
• Guess the Birdies Contest.

Through any of these three methods, Save The Whales will receive a 10% bonus on collected donations and pledges.

The Pledge Drive

The Pledge Drive is similar to a walk-a-thon based on the total number of birdies made by PGA TOUR professionals during the 2010 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am which is February 11-14, 2010.

Guess the Birdies Contest

You can also guess the number of birdies that will be made during the tournament and pledge one cent or more per birdie, or a flat-rate, to participate in the program. Every week, various prizes will be awarded through weekly random drawings of completed pledge forms throughout the pledge season. The lucky person who guesses the correct number of birdies before the contest ends on February 10 will win a grand prize of Two Continental Airline tickets.

Bonus Bucks Program

Following the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, the Monterey Peninsula Foundation will add up the pledge forms and Save The Whales will receive the funds from their pledges, plus a generous 10% bonus on their collected pledges from the Monterey Peninsula Foundation. The charge on your credit card will be for the Monterey Peninsula Foundation/ATT Pro Am.

*Birdie Definition: In golf, a birdie is a score of one stroke better than "par" for any golf hole. "Par" is the normal expected score of a golf professional on any given hole.
